Which major company has gone 100% vegan?

Global margarine company Flora has announced they have removed dairy from their range, meaning their products are now suitable for vegans. They even have gone as far as to say the spread taste better too.

This is a huge step forward considering their products had been previously so dairy reliant, I hope other major companies will follow.

I think this isn't 100 percent correct. Flora is a brand owned by the company Upfield, which is owned by Unilever. Flora Dairy Free is 100 percent plant-based, but they still sell the milk-based spreads under the Flora brand as well. So, neither the company nor the brand is 100 percent Vegan. ๐Ÿ™‚

By the way, did you know that Flora and Becel is the same product?

I was wrong about Unilever. They have sold Upfield.

Oh right, I read that dairy was being removed from its range of four products - Flora Original, Flora Light, Flora Buttery, and Flora Dairy Free. Confused

I tried to find a press release but never found one. Not on the Upfield website and no blog that wrote about this had any sources linked.

#4 The Metro is very well known here in the UK and did an article on it as well, but that confused me even more, is a whole new range in addition to previous products or are they removing older ones?

What confuses me most are their websites. If they did this change to all their products, that would be the first thing they change, well before they make the announcement or send out press releases. ๐Ÿ™‚

On their homepage they announced Flora Original was 100% plant based!

They also have this on their page regarding products ๐Ÿ™‚. It looks as if it is true after all.

#7: This is what it looked like when I wrote my first comment. It seems they have changed since then.

I wonder how vegans classify this product.

#9 I originally saw that too! You would have thought that updating their own website would have been the first thing they did!

#10 It's Vegan even it "may hace traces of" for example dairy. It just means it's made in the same factory, not that you're paying the company to continue their animal use :)
